SPN supports Alpine County Behavioral Health Services in five distinct communities: Hung A Lel Ti, Bear Valley, Woodfords, Markleeville, and Kirkwood. By organizing and/or participating in many wonderful activities and events, SPN helps reduce the stigma around mental health.

We strive to improve understanding of mental health issues of all types and how to address them. That education will allow Alpine County residents to recognize signs of depression and/or suicide, and know how to get help when needed through the many resources available. Keep your eyes peeled for services and activities that promote wellness, recovery and resilience in people of all ages. We’re very excited to see you around!

SPN provides grief, peer and PTSD support groups; prevention and educational resources to service providers, educators, service clubs, health professionals, public officials, faith communities and community members; coordinated services and referrals for individuals and families; resources for law enforcement and first responder personnel when working with families afflicted by suicide; as well as community events to support our mission.
